About Us

Introduced to alpacas in 1997 at a small farm seminar in Monroe, Washington we fell in love with the adorable creatures and the fine garments they produced, but did not start our alpaca business until 2001 until a real estate client turned friend – Linda Livengood changed our “farm” world. Starting out with two geldings as a gift to our children, she showed us the magical world of alpacas and mentored us. Linda sold her alpaca ranch in Oregon, and her “cream of the crop” came up to Washington and Utopia Alpacas really began! Managing her beautiful alpacas and investing in our own has become a passion out here on Camano Island. We are proud of carrying on her vision of 16+ years in the business and producing a “boutique” of the finest alpacas. Alpacas that are not only exquisite in the field, but up close under scrutiny in the show ring! We shine with the best of them!
